Touros - Lighthouse of Calcanhar

Touros is situated 87 km from Natal and 25 km from São Miguel do Gostoso, and is considered to be one of the most privileged locations, due to the meeting of the east and the north coast of Brazil. The beaches are beautiful and splendid, bearing sounding names such as: Carnaubinha, Garcas, Perobas and Cajueiro, all of them displaying the true qualities of an enchanting tourist place. Visitors are recommended to take a trip down to the Lighthouse of Calcanhar, one of the highest lighthouses in Latin America and to visit the monument designed for Oscar Neimeyer, one of the greatest architects of Brazil.
Galinhos

Galinhos is situated the farthest up the coast and has certainly evolved from the times when it was just a small fishermen village. It is said that the splendid combination of the lagoas (lakes), the dunes and the sea is almost dazzling for the untrained eye. Galinhos is located 160 km from Natal and 50 km from São Miguel do Gostoso. At low tide, one can even reach Galinhos by walking on the beach from Caicara, which is a unique experience, enjoying the multitude of vegetation and the breathtaking seaside scenery. The romantic atmosphere in Galinhos makes you feel exuberant. If you want a quiet place where you can escape from civilization, Galinhos is what you should be looking for.
Barra de Maxaranguape

Caiçara do Norte has been developing ever since the middle of the 18th century, the locals demonstrating a true passion for fishing and working with salt. Once belonging to a sergeant, Caiçara do Norte has suffered from an immense tragedy in 1912 when it was totally buried under sand dunes. Reconstructed in 1925, the region has constantly seen economic prosperity and today it is widely thought by tourists. So is Barra de Maxaranguape, the place where one of the most popular carnivals of the Northeast is held every year.
